β OUR STORY β
Situated in one of the beautiful original buildings of Kallista overlooking Sherbrooke forrest, nestled in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges. Kallista Deli and Cafe has become one of the areas best known cafes, with a proud history of 25 years of serving the public.
The Kallista Deli and Cafe is family owned by local residents - husband and wife team Richard and Emily Harrop. Richard and Emily are two chefs with a combined industry experience of over 30 years, both with a long history working in the cafe and restaurant industry. It is staffed by a vibrant group of people with a passion for beautiful wholesome food, delicious coffee and old fashioned hospitality.
At Kallista Deli and Cafe, we provide a range of breakfast and lunch options, house-made cakes, Devonshire tea and pastries all made from scratch, as well as Fairtrade organic coffee. We cater to a range of dietary needs and preferences from vegetarian to vegan and gluten free.
We utilise fresh, seasonal produce throughout our menu, making an ethically conscious choice to support other local suppliers of fruit and vegetables, free range meat, eggs and sourdough bread sourced from the Dandenong Ranges and the Yarra Valley.
Locals often drop by daily for an exceptional coffee and a chat with our staff, and visitors feel instantly welcome seated in the old, character filled building, or relaxing outdoors in our courtyard lined with colourful flowers and greenery.
